Our mission is to stimulate and enhance appreciation of the arts on Long Island and in the greater New York metropolitan area. In today's increasingly technological society, we strive to preserve beauty through the learning, understanding, creation and enjoyment of art in all forms. Our goal is to teach art to students of all ages, of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, and of all levels of ability in a unique and nurturing learning environment We also seek to assist students in creating portfolios and in advancing their careers. 

• Dedicating The Atelier to teaching drawing, painting, design, graphic, and digital art.
• Collaborating with other arts organizations and the community to pursue mutual goals and create cross-cultural experiences.
• Offering scholarships to aspiring artists who are limited in their ability to afford to take classes.
• Providing a well-equipped, exceptional work environment with northern light exposures. 
• Opening The Atelier's Fine Arts Library to the public and incorporating it into classroom learning.
• Welcoming volunteers to work at The Atelier.
• Offering art history lectures as a vibrant part of The Atelier experience through frequent lectures open to the public.
